Olympic Multipeople 2016 is a youth gathering organized for 18-30 yeared old people from Castilla y León and Portugal. Its main purpose is to promote awareness of inclusion and acceptance of diversity throughout entertaining, educational and sports activities where everyone is invited to participate.The objective of this project is to create a friendly environment where young people from Castilla y León and Portugal can meet, have fun together and also learn from each other. This gathering promotes equality and solidarity among participants, promoting that those people who might need support during the activities receive it from their own mates.This gathering arises from the need to offer to young people with functional diversity the possibility to be equally involved in entertaining and educative activities. It also aims to be as a reference point and inspiration for future activities with youth in our community, promoting inclusive activities where the key aspects such as accessibility or personal assistance are considered to be offered also in everyday life.We believe that promoting and providing different inclusive activities, we are helping to create an inclusive society that accepts diversity as an intrinsic part of it. In addition, we think that projects like this reaffirm our commitment to the youth and non-formal education, promoting positive relationships among young people from our community.
