FINISHED
Purpose: To train cultured teachers who will lead our students to gain the sense of history, historical awareness and our region’s rich historical past by both discovering our province of Kırşehir’s rooted history, and using different ways and methods accompanied with varied qualified educational activities and projects.
In our county of Kaman located on the historical Silkroad, it is possible to see a lot of traces from many civilizations which reigned since Hittites, the first settlers of our region. Within this context, many artifacts which belong to different ages and were discovered in excavations in our region are exhibited in world-famous Kaman Kalehöyük Museum of Archaeology in our county, and thus, they shed light on the history of the region. History, social life and culture of each civilization that ruled in our region are unearthed through these works. Plenty of barrows in our historically rich region are also expects to be discovered. So many people, from Japanese to European tourists, are strongly interested in these studies. But, despite this historical lushness in our county, our teachers and students unfortunately can not pay enough attention to this kind of studies. By means of this project, our teachers will have education and they will transfer their knowledge to students through clubs to be founded in “museology” and “archeology” areas in our school. Thus, our student will be educated well on some topics like historical awareness, archeology, museology education and etc., applying several methods and techniques. With this aim, 15 teachers from different branches in our school will take course on topics including the activities given below within this project. At the end of the cooperation activities with Kaman Kalehoyuk arkeoloji museim, our teachers are expected to have proficiency and thus to improve their skills for the topics below by project applications.
Our teachers will get an in-service training on these topics in Italy via our Italian partner IRIS.

Following our return after the project ends, an Archeology Club will be founded in our school. In these works, we will benefit from the guidance of the officials from Kaman Kalehöyük Museum of Archaeology. Our teachers, who will already have improved themselves by getting training on the practice, will introduce archeological works to all school students and to those from other schools with the help of Kaman Kalehöyük Museum of Archaeology officials.
These works to be executed will make a great contribution to the antecedently foundation in our province of this club which will be a unique one among secondary education institutions, to determining its activities&aims and to the implementation of these activities, to introducing the European Culture as Europeans and to ending cultural differences. Since the Archeology Club will teach history, the sense of history of students will improve, and thus they will act more consciously with respect to preserving artifacts. Additionally, our teachers to be trained will learn how Archeology Clubs in schools in the related partner country operates, how they transfer their knowledge and endear history, which methods and techniques they apply while indoctrinating the sense of history. And, they will popularize these experiences.
Regarding the recreation, our students will make sample excavations and learn how to make mosaic assembly, cuneiform and stamps under the guidance of our teachers, and with the help and support of Kaman Kalehöyük Museum of Archaeology.
