Odtwarzanie i udoskonalanie formy i funkcji przedmiotu designerskiego z wykorzystaniem najnowszych technologii.
Start date: Dec 31, 2015, End date: Dec 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Title of the project: ‘Copying and improvement of the form and function of the designer object using the latest technology’ The project originator is Zespol Szkol Plastycznych (ZSP) - School of Fine Arts in Czestochowa - an artistic–vocational secondary school, educating in specialisations of utilitarian forms: ceramics, jewellery and utilitarian graphics – publishing forms. The partners are vocational secondary schools in Italy, Austria, Germany and Portugal. The project, titled ‘Copying and improvement of the form and function of the designer object using the latest technology’ is a part of our school’s strategy, the fundamental objective of which is an active development of its organisation, leveling of technical, technological, linguistic, and professional differences of teachers as well as students. Our mobility educational programs are not only directed at supplementing of these shortages, but also rapid respose in the dissemination of the results. This year’s theme of the project refers to both teachers and students, and brings one of the designing methods closer, particularly used in quick methods of prototyping for medicine. It focuses on the analysis of the existing product data, obtained by means of 3D scanning, and then exploration of the acquired knowledge and its use in designing collections of new products with an improved form. Penetration of this problem is realised by means of the latest 3D technologies. Teachers of vocational subjects will realize their placement through participation in a Job Shadowing training. The participants of the placement will be 40 students of ZSP, specialising in: graphic design, ceramics, jewellery, and 17 teachers of vocational subjects, willing to raise their professional qualifications. The methodology used in the realization of the project concerns: identification of needs, selection of participants, project application, definition of the objectives and implementation conditions of the project, arrangement of funding rules, participants’ preparation for the placement, organization and realization of the mobility abroad, , monitoring, evaluation, reporting and dissemination. The project will allow to achieve the following objectives in the target groups: 1. Students - Familiarisation with methods of designing a designer object through copying and improving its form and function (data analysis, identification of needs, criteria, search for new solutions in order to add a new dimension to the product) - Getting to know designing tools with the use of the latest technology: 3D scanning methods, data transfer into 3D programs, work with software such as: Rhino, Rhino-Gold, Blender, 3dMax, methods of preparing visualisations, object rendering, printing) - raising linguistic competences in the field of professional terminology 2. Teachers - familiarization with European educational systems - getting to know means and methods of teaching with the use of latest technologies - raising linguistic competences in the field of professional terminology The anticipated outcome of the project in target groups: 1. Students - Visualization of a designer object before adaptation and after improvement of its form and function - Acquisition of object designing skills through copying and modelling its form and function - Acquisition of technical skills to operate design tools in the latest technology: 3D scanner, 3D software, 3D printer - Acquisition of linguistic competences /especially in the field of professional terminology/ - Acquisition of cultural and personal competences 2. Teachers - Modification of curriculum content and methods of vocational training, specializing in: ceramics, silversmithing, graphic design - Implementation of acquired competences connected with an object design by means of the latest technologies - Acquisition of linguistic competences /especially in the field of professional terminology/ - Acquisition of cultural and personal competences The anticipated long-term benefits relate to permanent development of education, which means permanent (linear) upgrading of graduate’s standard, targeted at labour market. The project will open up an opportunity to cooperate with industry involved in the design with the use of the latest technologies. For partner institutions, these will be innovative opportunities to present their services, artistic activities, and opening up to the eastern parts of Europe. The project will be realized in 2016.
