The project of professional internships fits into the long-term school concept that seeks to continuously improve the quality of provided education, to involve the school into European activities and to link teaching with practice. The project responds to requests from employers who are interested in our technical school graduates. However, they require pupils to pass a quality professional training, to have good language skills and to be independent. The main goal of the project is to improve the quality of pupils' school experience. Participants of the project will gain professional experience abroad, which will be certified. Internships will increase the professional level of participants, improve the level of English and develop their personalities. The project will increase the labour mobility of participants, their adaptability and knowledge of English. Staying in a foreign country will contribute to the cultural enrichment of the participants. Thanks to the implementation of the project we expand and deepen cooperation between school and foreign partners. We exchange experiences and gain new knowledge that will allow us to improve the quality of teaching. The project also will allow us to implement ECVET and Europass Mobility. School projects are expected to increase the prestige and attractiveness of the study, which should be reflected in the greater interest of students to study at our school. Internships are designed for 25 pupils of the 3rd year of study with focus on engineering, IT, means of transport and economics and two accompanying persons. Internships will take place within the framework of compulsory school practice. Internships will be held in April 2017 in the English (13 placements) and Irish businesses (12 placements). Placements will be three weeks long. Before leaving for an internship participants will attend a preparatory course at school. Individual internship positions will be selected according to the field of study of participants and their individual needs. Participants will work in engineering - in the preparation of production and manufacturing, IT (hardware and software), garages, car dealers and in administrative departments of enterprises and organizations. Thanks to an internship abroad, participants will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies in the professional, linguistic, cultural, social and personal area. Professional content of internships will be based on the relevant unit of learning outcomes ECVET that we have created in connection with this project. Participants will enhance their key competencies, and markedly improve in English. Participants identify local lifestyle, habits, norms of behaviour and will have a rich intercultural experience. Thanks to an internship abroad, participants will increase their mobility, adaptability, autonomy and gain life experience. The project results will be due to its focus mainly in intangible form. They will be reflected in knowledge, skills and competencies of project´s participants and in the impact on the sending organization and the labour market in our region. Tangible outcomes of the project will be Europass Mobility, ECVET placement evaluation, certificates confirming passing an internship issued by intermediary organizations and documents from employers. There will also be photographs from workplaces and free time and articles about the project and work placements of participants in the media. The main impact of the project will be on its participants. Participants will receive a certified quality experience abroad. They will have new professional knowledge, skills and competencies. Participants´ labour mobility and adaptability will increase. Their professional profile gets into accordance with the requirements of employers, and it will lead to a very good position of the participants in the labour market. The impact on the sending organization will be in area of the development of international cooperation and exchange of experience. The quality of teaching will be improved, teaching will be adapted to the needs of practice and studies at our school will be more attractive. The prestige of the school and the attractiveness of studies will increase. In the longer term, the project will contribute to the growth of the number of our technical orientated graduates, who are highly demanded in our region. Accompanying persons and project team members gain experience, which will shared with colleagues in and outside school. The impact of the project on the European level is in its support of vocational training, improvement of workforce mobility and the development of knowledge of foreign languages.
