FINISHED
The Project „Vocational Practical Training“ was aimed at the application of specialist knowledge in real-life situations of a foreign company working environment and the obtaining of new professional skills. It also encourages confidence and responsibility of the students, deepens intercultural communication, extends specialist and language competences, and last but not least gives them the opportunity to learn methods, procedures and technologies used abroad. This project covered 31 mobilities in vocational education. The intention of this project was to develop long-term cooperation with foreign partners in the field of work placements and offer the students the possibility to undergo their practical training in a foreign firm.
The main objective of the project “Vocational Practical Training” was the improvement of the quality of specialist education offered by our school. With the help of this practical training our graduates are able to gain a better position on a labour market. This contributes to the credibility of specialist education provided by our school at the level of both Business Academy (secondary school) and Higher Vocational School.
The participants were pupils of Business Academy and students of Higher Vocational School with the language knowledge at the level of B1/2 and specialist knowledge EQF 4 (pupils) /EQF 6 (students) according to studied specialization. Practical training and its recognition was based on the principles of ECVET. Interns gains an international certificate of Europass Mobility.
In the preparatory phase of the project the sending organization chose and prepared appropriate interns, provided them with the necessary documents (Learning Agreement, Europass CV, Europass Mobility) and worked out the logistics of the placements. The intermediary organizations according to the submitted information found the appropriate receiving organizations and monitored the course of practical training. The receiving organizations offered suitable work placements and enabled the interns to use specialist knowledge in their firms. Then they validated the practical training by means of the documents, e.g. ECVET, Europass Mobility. The sending organization recognized the practical training, and in cooperation with the receiving organization and intermediary organization evaluated the practical training and ensures its dissemination.
Firstly, the impact of this project is on the group of interns who are better prepared for the European labour market as well as on the group of non-participants who are more motivated to have better studying results and participate in the work placements abroad in future, and also use the innovated tutorial materials in their self-education.
Secondly, the impact is on the pedagogical staff who prepares up-to-date studying materials with respect to their acquired knowledge, and applies them in their lessons.
Thirdly, the impact is regional, as the graduates with the proper foreign working experience and highly professional and core competences are available for the prospective employers.
Finally, the impact is supranational considering the dissemination of the project and long-term cooperation with foreign partners.
