The "A school of diversity" project aims at improving the learning and working conditions for the pupils and teachers of the "Tudor Vladimirescu" High School, from Draganesti Olt, Romania, by educating them in the spirit of respect for diversity in order to reduce the number of incidents caused by discrimination or exclusion of persons based on various criteria. The project will include a Romania - Turkey mobility, during which, for 10 days, 13 teachers of the high-school will gain the necessary competencies for facilitating anti-discrimination trainings in the school. Later, using these competencies, each participant will organize two such classes , aiming at developing within the pupils a more tolerant attitude, building self-awareness, identifying the behaviors which lead to discrimination, correcting and confronting them, especially when they or their colleagues are victims. Moreover, the school will adopt a "Diversity Charter" and a "Diversity manifesto". The working methods will be those typical of non-formal education.
