The general goal of the project is to enlarge the tourist offer in the area by promoting good cooperation among different actors in tourism, thus enhancing the competitiveness of the area as a high-quality, interesting tourist destination with a lot to offer. Specific goals are: making an inventory of tourist resources (this activity was planned on both sides of the border); setting up a heritage path (formation and signs); setting up a database system with a network of information kiosks on the Croatian side; training tourist guides on both sides of the border; and formulating a marketing strategy and promotional material. Achievements: One marked heritage path Put seljacke bune with the possibility to upgrade the path on the Slovenian side also; 40 defined heritage paths on the Croatian side for future projects with the possibility to upgrade them on the Slovenian side in the future; four Internet kiosks bought and placed at chosen locations available to tourists; database formed with all cultural, natural and historical resources on the Croatian side with the possibility to upgrade the database with Slovenian data; 40 tourist guides educated with the possibility to train them for the cross-border tourist offer; marketing strategy developed; and an interactive CD with brochure for the promotion of the tourist resources along the marked heritage path Put seljacke bune.
