Diabetes and obesity are ever-increasing and problematic illnesses in the world recently. Especially type2 diabetes illnesses occur in later years depending upon malnutrition and decrease the quality of living. Our project’s general purpose is to make contribution to protect community health care by improving the awareness of society about the importance of a balanced and healthy diet against diabetes and obesity which occur depending on malnutrition. Our main purpose is to create a curriculum to be used in vocational education, make this curriculum reachable for every walk of life and create awareness about balance diet by changing people’s dietary habits. The university, which has done academic studies before, in the UK, a vocational school, established for the public and social benefits in Germany are taken as partners to reach our targets. Public institutions and organizations and NGOs are local partners. Our target group in our project is: 1. Vocational training specialists working on public education in partner organizations: A new collaborative working platform has been established to create a new curriculum with our project. 2. Institution Managers: 7 Institution managers: Contribution to the solution of problems will be provided about solving problems in cooperation with other institutions with our project. 3. NGO managers and members: Official institutions and NGOs’ developing new strategies will be provided observing applied the best examples in the EU to reach large segments of society by our Project. 4. 7 ICT technician: Our technicians will learn new information about new techniques used in digital education, new software and the usage of these materials interactively with the project, thus the quality of produced training materials with the project. 5. 7 distant education specialists: Having knowledge about the used distant learning methods and techniques thanks to the project experts will identify more effective methods about the content of the curriculum. Our projects’ final beneficiaries are everyone attaining our project products. This objective of ours is aimed to be carried out via internet and our dissemination strategies. Our project is a two year project. It consists of 9 overseas business visits, 1 local seminar, and 1 workshop. In consequence of our project ‘Diabetic Menu’ module will be created as intellectual output and this module will be in agreement with the curriculum of vocational education. Our project’s estimated start date is 01/08/2014 and ending date is 31/07/2016
