PROJECT
FINISHED
The key reason behind the project under the name of "Nowoczesny Mechanik - praktyki dla uczniów Zespołu Szkół Mechanicznych w Świdnicy 2" is the intention of ZSM to better meet the educational needs of our students and match the education we offer to the requirements they will face upon entering the labour market. In technological professions taught by our school the market is very dynamic due to rapid development and implementation of new technologies by numerous companies. That is why the practical component of vocational education is increasingly important. Potential employees are required to exhibit not only knowledge, but also specific skills related to using these new technologies. Moreover, it is important that employees continuously broaden and perfect their knowledge and skills.
Having the above considerations in mind, ZSM intends to run the proposed project in order to better prepare our students for work in their respective professions. To do so, the project is aimed at improving the quality of the practical component of the educational experience we offer. Through high-quality internships, we wish to help our students in matching their skills to the needs of their potential employers. Furthermore, our objective is also to create conditions under which participants will shape their personality and attitude toward learning and working. Due to their participation in the project, students will not only become more competitive on the labour market (by closing the so-called "competence gap"), but will also become more aware of the need to continue vocational education on the life-long basis.
The group of participants will comprise 30 students, of which 10 will be students learning the profession of a mechanic, 10 will be students learning to become car mechanics, and the remaining 10 will be students preparing to the profession of an IT specialist. The project will be addressed at students of III grade. The choice of participants will be made based on students' learning performance. The internships will take place in April 2016. Participants will undertake internship in Italy (Bologna).
The internship programme will be in accordance with the requirements of the programme adopted by our school. However, it will also include certain more detailed elements, depending on the specific area of activities of the hosting companies, as well as the demands of a particular job position.
