In the project „ Having a theatre inside. Developing theatrical creativity and upgrading language skills of teachers”.
Carried out from July 1st 2014 to June 30th 2015.
The project tries to fight against the cultural isolation of the countryside from the city, hindered access of teachers to trainings, not many possibilities of learning English, or limited development of intercultural competences. The project is being done and its aim is to develop a creative attitude of teachers and children.
The participants of the project are nine teachers of Samorządowe Przedszkole in Raciechowice. All teachers have a higher education qualification, they have developed their language skills through various forms for improvement. These teachers are interested in and committed to further continuation of the project.
Actions.
Preparatory activities for the Project:
Preparation and self-education concerning theatre and English language learning through literature and taking up courses /privately,on the net,via ESSK correspondence or any other different forms of self-training/
1. The project involves an initial phase of two training mobilities. Preparations in the forms of theatrical trainings and language courses and language course in a language school Doorway.
2. Theatrical training „ Drama” in Lovran-Croatia.
3.Raising langauge skills through a language course at the Doorway school to get to the B1 level /intermediate/ September 2014 to January2014/.
4.Promotion and implementation of the results of the course Drama in practice for the target group which is the kids,their parents and teachers,everyone from the local community.
5.English language training course Fluency in Communication in English dated February 2015 in ETI St.Julian`s,Malta.
6.Assessment and implementation phase of the results in the institution and in the region.
7. Working of the international cooperation project with ERASMUS programme + AK.2 entitled „ Having a theatre inside. An attempt of revindication of the theatre pedagogy innovative conceptions of theatre for children”.
The main priorities of the project are:
1. Improving skills of our teachers relating to theatrical education. Adopting new methods and theatre techniques.
• Aim 1. Teachers acquire knowledge and relevant skills, moreover they improve knowledge relating to forms of work with the children literaturę and to introduce theatre elements for children 4-12 years old, make it possible to confront their own methods of work and teaching with foreign partners.
• Aim 2. To develop the competence in psychology, pedagogy and didactics of introducing children to the world of theatre and didactic work.
• Aim 3. To formulate concepts and ideas that will become the basis for the international cooperation project with ERASMUS programme + AK.2 entitled „Having a theatre inside. An attempt of revindication of the theatre pedagogy innovative conceptions of theatre for children”. The project is going to be widespread throughout other European countries and promulgate the given concept of „ introducing children into the world of theatre”.
Priority 2. Upgrading language skills of teachers.
* Aim 1. Developing foreign language skills and intercultural competences.
• Aim 2. Improving skills and broaden teachers’ knowledge in order to raise quality of work in the educational establishment.
• Aim 3. The project will result in building up the professional profile and professional development of teachers.
• Results:
• The teachers will gain knowledge of new forms of work and how to introduce the elements of theatre for children aged 4-12 years. They will confront their own methods of work and teaching with foreign partners.
• They will improve their competence of pre-school education didactic work and teaching.
• Teachers will significantly improve their knowledge of English and intercultural competences.
• Knowledge and skills will be fully used in the project „ An attempt of revindication of the theatre pedagogy innovative conceptions of theatre for children” in the ERASMUS programme + AK. 2 „ Strategic partnership – schools cooperation”.
• The foreign mobility will be organised in the summer break in July 2014, and in February 2015 at the time off work due to a winter break for the teachers involved in the project, During the school year it won’t be possible.
• The teachers will get improvement of their professional work and will build up their professional profile.
Courses in Polandn wouldn't be able to fulfill objectives of the project, so we apply for teacher mobility to Lovran-Croatia and to ETI St.Julian`s,Malta.
