Considering the current refugees and immigrants crisis at international level, we identified a series of issues and needs at many levels, involving the local communities, young refugees and immigrants, but also at nongovernmental organizations and youth workers: The young refugees and immigrants need to be involved in educational and inclusion programmes, to develop their learning and the evaluation of the transferable work skills, counselling and support in their adaptation to a new environment (especially from the point of view of the cultural shock). The NGOs are playing a very important role in solving their adaptation needs, but for doing this, they need to develop their capacity to design and implement educational inclusive projects, adjusted to the local community and target group needs.”NFE in Action” is a structured 11 months coaching and training programme, which aims:To develop the capacity of 47 youth workers to plan, implement, disseminate and evaluate non formal education projects, with concrete results and sustainable results. To facilitate the best practices exchange at international level, between 13 nongovernmental organizations, one university and 47 youth workers in the field of nonformal education and to promote the efficiency of non formal education methods in addressing the current challenges of refugees and immigrants crisis. To develop, through non formal education methods, a sustainable visual tool for the promotion of the European values on diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue and common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights. To develop best practices in the field of youth and international cooperation between NGOs and to facilitate the elaboration of 5 future non formal education projects which target group will be the young people with fewer opportunities, young people in risks, the young refugees or immigrants. The project’s methodology is based on a balance between classic learning methods, non formal education and reflexive and evaluation methods. The project’s expected tangible results are: a visual tool for the promotion of diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights – consisting of 6 videos and 47 pictures; A best practice guide containing all the steps followed in the implemented youth workers’ training and coaching programme and the used methodology; A report made by participants before the mobility with their national context on refugees and immigrants and existing/necessary national and international opportunities (and resources) for their social inclusion; The project movie – presenting the entire project flow; The project website – updated periodically with information from project’s stages; At least 5 educational inclusive international projects or national programmes for the young people with fewer opportunities, in risk, young refugees or immigrants, designed on non formal methodologies.
