“Non-formal education against unemployment”
Start date: May 15, 2016, End date: Sep 14, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Today the youth unemployment problem is still a very real and alarming issue. When we have a look at different official reports, one can see that the most urgent youth problem all around the world is unemployment. The global unemployment rate during last 3 years does not carry any global changes according to the International Labour Organization. Facing the needs of post graduate students on this issue we as an informal group of student decided to focus on this issue to help especially post graduate students to develop their skills through the non-formal educational methods to become more competent to find relevant job. That was the main reason and motivation for all 6 counties within the programme countries (Germany, Lithuania, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, Greece ) to come together and carry out this 9 days youth exchange in Flensburg, Germany. Project will take place on 6-14th of August in 2016. With this project we would like 1) To create a common platform for inter-personal and inter-cultural exchange of experiences for a group of 30 young people with different social, economic and political backgrounds facing the same needs and problems of finding relevant jobs. 2) To assess participants personal needs related with unemployment problem. Participants will be given opportunity to present their individual needs, exchange experiences, raise their concerns related with unemployment problem and develop collective approach of strategies, steps and solutions with joint efforts. 3) To improve personal and interpersonal communication & marketing skills, to increase their self-knowledge, self-confidence and self- esteem which will raise their chances for finding relevant job opportunities. Participants will be from different social economic and political backgrounds facing the same needs and problems of finding relevant jobs. This youth exchange will be interactive, experiential and intercultural event exploring unemployment issue.
