No Borders Volunteering
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Nov 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The EVS project "No Borders Volunteering" wants to promote the active participation of youth through volunteering at international level and encourage the cooperation between Europe and its neighbours countries. In all activities the project will use the methods of non formal and intercultural education. The project involves 4 italian volunteers for long term projects (6 months) sent by the applicant: 2 will be hosted by the russian partner Society of the Disabled and 2 will be hosted by the macedonian partner creACTive. The mobilities will start the first of september 2015 and will last 6 months. The volunteers will be involved in different tasks such as: socio-educative activities with disabled people, intercultural and intergenerational workshop, creative and artistic activities in youth centres, cultural events organization and participation, support for the implementation of local initiatives. Hosting volunteers is a concrete example of the meaning of common Europe and can be a model for local young people who approach european topics with fear and distrust. The volunteers will play an important role in the daily work of the organization while working together with different actors of the local community. The volunteers will bring, both in Russia and Macedonia, their ideas, enthusiasm, innovation and added value which will give motivation and new working inputes to the partners involved. "No Borders Volunteering" will also allow the creation of new cooperations at European level and the improvement of the already existing partnerships and, at the same time, it will help promoting EVS and Erasmus Plus Programme among italian, russian and macedonian young people.
