This project seeks to address an identified need by the proposing organizations: the lack of answers of its territory to the development problems and the lack of youth involvement in their animation. Consequently, these two situations end up to converge on immigration and in the losses of identity and cultural values of local societies. In this sense, the project seeks, using participatory and creative methodologies, to involve a large number of young people in the stimulation and enhancement of territories and the creation of local responses that may contribute to their sustainable development. Then the aim of this project is to promote the participation and active citizenship of young people, sensitizing them to the importance and respect for diversity, thus contributing to mutual understanding between young people from different countries and the enhancement of identities and cultures of origin. The project involves 23 young people with fewer opportunities, particularly with regard to social obstacles, given that some elements of the group are from single parent families, unemployed and with some economic difficulties, which obviously also arises from social and economic situation that we are living in our country. They are mostly young people with alternative education pathways and coming from families at social vulnerability. The privileged methods of work for this purpose are based on non-formal education, particularly through the promotion of group sessions, direct observation, direct contact with the local population, conducting discussion panels/debate tables, brainstorming of ideas and experiences, cooperation activities, among others, that may be identified as relevant during the project implementation, thereby contributing to the personal and social development of the young involved in the project. In terms of outcome and impact, this project predicts that the youth will participate more actively in the communities in which they live, as well as will develop a civic and European consciousness that allows them to be themselves agents of change in their lives as individuals and as members of society. With this change in young people is expected that, in long term, they are able to change behaviors and attitudes in other youth in the community and are able to have more power of decision in local and regional processes.
