New Skills and experiences for (E)U
Start date: Aug 1, 2014, End date: Jul 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project is addressed to all vocational programs at Nösnäsgymnasiet. The idea of cooperating with various countries in Europe is that we would like to have a broad view of the work from a European perspective. For educational purposes, it is important for young people to increase their employability and acquire new skills while they develop as active citizens. It creates opportunities for new knowledge and developing linguistic and cultural skills. Europeans who spend time abroad as young becomes also more likely mobile as workers later in life. In the project will 8students spend 5 weeks in one of our partner countries, Spain and Germany. For each country, we want to send students from various professional programs, both girls and boys, so that we can later examine the differences and similarities that exist between countries. It is important for students to understand the differences that exist within the various professions depending on the country in which you are working. The project aims also to students to develop their language skills. They will gain new experiences and practices from their profession a bit different depending on the country in which they do their practice. One goal is to develop their social and communicative capacity while they develop themselves by learning to a new cultural environment. At homecoming, students communicate their new competences to classmates but also to other students in the school. This is done through the website, exhibitions and small mini-exhibitions. The students will also visit secondary schools in the municipality and there show on the possibilities available when participating in vocational programs. This in purpose to have more students applying for the vocational programs.
