New Opportunities for youth is a 10 days youth exchange which gathers 30 young people from 5 European countries in Pozega, Croatia, with aimed at improvement of young people toward employability and entrepreneurship by providing participants with knowledge and skills necessary to assure self management, to enhance their competitiveness and thereby encourage social inclusion. Project will be established by TERRA SLAVONICA organization and partners are coming from Spain, Austria, Czheck Republic, Croatia and Latvia. Each partner group will be consist of 5 participants (18-30 years old) + one team (leader no ages limit). The project is addressing the issue of fighting against unemployment, which becomes extremely dangerous social problem, destructive to the social tissue, economic system, social security systems and mental health of young people, encountering impassable barriers in gaining employment. During 9 days of youth exchange "New Opportunities" will enable young people to reflect about what it means to be an entrepreneur and how they themselves might become an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship can be also a creative activity in the field of art, sport, science and technology or in the NGO field. The youth exchange will enable young people to explore these various aspects of entrepreneurship, discuss about the characteristics of an entrepreneur and discover their own ideas that they could turn into action. As a part of YE project it was organized promotion of project and Erasmus+ programme in local Municipality Caglin and after youth exchange it was organized conference on more conference in organization office where were presented results of project. We also visited local organic farm Grbic.d.o.o. , local entrepreneur Sandi Mance who just established brewery MSB Slawoner and organiation Oppidum. Main goal of visiting these organizations is that participant see examples of good practice and give entourage young people to be brave and start own idea into action. As part of activities we made video clip and brochure with details about project witch is spread on internet, shared to our partners and organizations which work with youth. Our participant visited local radio station Vallis Aurea radio Pozega and gave interview about their impressions about project, their view of situation of unemployment in their countries and how youth entrepreneurship is supported in their countries. Local media Pozega.eu portal and Kronika Slavonskopozeska reported about activities on our project. During project we used non formal education methods as "brainstorming" or "role-play", group discussion, discussions in small groups, simulations of real situations, and sharing opinions and experiences between participants and faciliators. YE was designed in a way to give participants a chance to speak their mind in all areas. This structure of project was flexible, which means that participants and leaders of groups have responsibility for their needs and needs of a group through the whole process. Participants gained competences in area of entrepreneurship which they can implement in their daily life and professional career. Participants are now more confident in relation with people from other cultures, they improved their cultural awareness and appreciate cultural diversity. Participants gained knowledge about Erasmus + programme and other program as Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs launched from European Union.
