New methodologies for a new school.

Sant Vicent Ferrer IES belongs to the Network of Quality and multilingual network of Valencia. Our institute has a large number of teachers with destination definitive and that are really motivated.
We recognize that education and training play a key role in the Europe 2020 strategy. The growth of the European countries should be smart, sustainable and inclusive. Education is seen as the engine for growth and employment, therefore, one of the specific objectives of the Erasmus + programme is to improve the knowledge and skills of the participants in their actions in order to achieve the strategic objectives ET2020.
This project has helped to meet these objectives, in which the need for traditional systems are transformed to be much more open and flexible, so that students have individual learning curricula tailored to their needs and interests, and it is implicit to promote equal opportunities throughout their lives. With the above references and the goal of our teachers and students to achieve the competencies and skills set out in ET2020, we have achieved the following objectives:
- To Improve language proficiency in English and Italian
- To Experiment language in its cultural and social environment.
- To Participatein training learning throughout life in order to learn new methodologies (CLIL, collaborative work ...).
- To Work in multicultural and interdisciplinary teams.
- Internationalization of IES.
- To increase quality of education using creativity and innovation at all educational levels.
- To increase the knowledge of other educational systems and other methodologies of teaching and learning which has improved the quality of education provided, to combat dropout and to promote inclusion.
- To improve ICT skills using collaborative and e-learning platforms, to provide and share new educational resources
- To increase the knowledge of new tools for validating learning outcomes
- To increase the active participation in the development plan of the IES.
The project has allowed 16 teachers for 2 years to be trained in foreign languages, implementation of CLIL, new technologies and new models validation and certification of skills methodology and 1 teacher made a jobshadowing to learn how to write, manage and implement European projects .
All this training has allowed to achieve the objectives described above.
The organization has selected different training courses in UK, Italy, Malta and Ireland in which participated several teachers from the school interested in improving their language skills, ICT and apply new methodologies in the classroom to combat school failure, improve inclusion, know the new models for European certification and be in contact with other European institutions ...
The selection of participants has been opened. All staff have been informed of the start of the process and was able to apply for participation in it has created a commission formed by a member of the management team, a member of the AMPA, and three department heads. for selection of participating teachers
Before the mobility teachers have participated in training courses to improve their language skills and knowledge of the eTwinning platform. The organizers of the training courses have provided the material for cultural preparation teachers.
During the last year of the project they have been made workshops, micro sessions CLIL and they have participated in conferences organized by other entities (Ministry of Education, unions, CEFIRE, educational inspection, other schools), to disseminate and exploit the project results. Teachers have received a participation certificate of the training institutions, an Europass mobility and certificate of training hours of the Regional ministery of education.
The quality assessment has been carried out quantitatively, through questionnaires (questionnaire tool mobility and questionnaires conducted by the IES) evaluating the actions in each of the phases of the project and qualitatively through meetings with the participants teachers.
