New Focus on Adult Education
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

"New Focus on Adult Education" was a project providing learning mobility to adult education staff in EFM organisation. Since its establishment, EFM has been very active in the field of non-formal education. We have been active in the field of non-formal learning for many years. However, it has been focusing on adult learners only in the last few years. This two-years project helped to train our workers and members in the adult education as well as to stay actively in touch with adult learners. The project encompassed 15 international mobilities and consisted of sending our staff to 6 structured training courses abroad. These took place during a period of two years. There was intensive preparation before the courses. After them, participants were encouraged to use in practice what they have learnt and implement their own personal action plans. We also disseminated results of the training courses. The project also helped us enhance our network of international partners. All of this helped us prepare more and better educational activities and will benefit adult learners in the end result. The project enabled us to send team members of our organisation to training courses in other European countries. At the training courses, participants learned more about topics such as project management, NGO management, non-formal education, European citizenship, media education, global challenges, etc. This helped us to increase the capacity of our organisation and provide adults in Poland, especially in our region with high-quality activities of non-formal education.
