Nemzetközi elvárások az elméletben és a gyakorlatban
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Batthyány Lajos Mezőgazdasági és Élelmiszeripari Szakképző Iskola (Batthyány Lajos Agriculture and Food Industry Vocational School) is one of the schools having the longest histories in Pápa. During the last semester, the management of the school and the project manager, Dr. Manfred Müller have conceived a Memorandum of Understanding stating that they participate jointly at the Erasmus+ Competition. It was an important aspect to choose a host institution which has a big experience. SHW and its partners (ca. 40 manufactories) are aware of the practical and theoretical requirements and the requirements published in the ECVET schedule. This Competition as an opportunity is very important for the school, because in the last few years our students did not have the chance to participate at a professional practice abroad during school time. This opportunity increases the chance for the participating students to find a job. Moreover, the students can get acquainted with the habits, work schedules and gastronomy of other European countries. The fact that the students’ language and other competences (e.g. concerning the usage of IKT systems)develop cannot be ignored. The experiences gained during the practice can be used and applied by them. The period of the project is 2 years, having 2 turns with the participation of 10-10 students (6 cooks, 2 bakers and 2 agronomists/foresters). The project has a time schedule as well. The starting date of the project is 01 June 2015. In November and December 2015 a preparatory program will be held for the students willing to participate in the professional practice abroad, which means a creative, a linguistic, a geographical, a historical presentation, and also a presentation on politeness and social behaviour. The professional practice for the first turn will start on 6th January 2016 and finish on 7th February 2016. The second group will start its practice in spring 2017. The closing date of the project is 30th May 2017. The students participating in the project will be open for new things, their self-determination will increase both in their private life and in their profession. Also, their basic skills and competences will improve. During their professional practice they will be able to work in a team, they will learn to use their equipment in a proper and safe way. They will also develop a better interest in their profession. The effect of the project concerning school life may have a lot of advantages, e.g., there will be a possible growth in the number of students. The acquaintanceship of the school may expand and a decrease in the number of purposeless students is also expected. With this new opportunity i.e., that some students can have their professional practice at a foreign partner, opportunities can be offered to the students leaving school and also their work attitude, sense of responsibility, etc. can develop. The evaluation methods and aspects of the project can be found in the ECVET schedule attached to the Competition. The efficiency of the project can be shown not only by these tools which can be measured immediately, but also by long-term results, e.g. workplace monitoring. The selection of the students is followed by an evaluation for further preparation and selection.
