The project « Sail and preserve the Estuary » is a scout meeting of 40 European youths, in august 3th to 10th 2016, within the Roverway gathering. This event will take place in the Aquitaine region, on the Gironde Estuary’s banks. In this occasion, teams form Netherland, Romania, Macedonia and France, from 16 to 21 years old, will gather to live an European way of scoutism, sail on the Garonne and protect the environment. Discovering the region and this cultural, gastronomic and environmental patrimony; meeting local actors acting on their territory; exploring new cultures by sharing an extraordinary scout’s camp and going to the Roverway, with 5000 other young and beautiful experiences to share: this is what the participants could expect!The youth are the major actors in this project. Supporting by experimented adults, they will do their best to create and live a camp like them: cosmopolitan and dynamic. We wish promoting, in local and international scales, scoutism and mobility as major educational ways from European citizen. The partners, curious of the surrounding world, and rich by experiences and meeting, may engage themselves in new exchange projects, as European voluntaries, and keep this dynamic going on.
