1. Information about the projectZSOI7 (Comprehensive Inclusion School Complex No 7 in Krakow, Poland) is an institution that provides its employees the possibility of comprehensive development. Our teachers seek to gain higher, professional qualifications, that enables them to improve the quality of the student's school work. In so doing, students benefit by being better prepared for life in the modern world. This requires language skills and the knowledge of the latest teaching methods, which the teachers can develop through participation in the Erasmus project. The project participants, selected by ZSOI7, are the teachers of different subjects who, thanks to the dissemination activities and willingness to learn, will spread the knowledge gained during a foreign exchange and pass new skills onto their colleagues.2. Project goals:- improving teachers’ professional skills,- increasing the linguistic competence of the project participants,- better knowledge of the European education systems and educational institutions,- appreciation of the relationship between formal and informal education- motivating students to self-learn, through the use of the latest teaching methods,- an attitude of openness, sensitivity to other cultures, tolerance,- development of teachers and their satisfaction with the work,- more effective School Management,- working internationally in a more effective way,- rising cultural awareness,- sharing of Best Practice in school leadership,- effective processes of learning / teaching.3. The Number and profile of participantsThe project will be attended by 12 teachers from our school. The choice of training:- Language courses - three teachers of junior education, two special educators, Polish language, Biology, Mathematics and Social Studies teachers,- Business English Language course - Mathematics teacher/coodinator- Methodology courses - Polish Language and Mathematics teachers, two English teachers, and one special educator.- Course for executives - School Management Study course - coordinator / Polish language teacher.4. Description of the activitiesBefore we join the project all teachers are going to prepare for it in every aspect. During the project, the participants will learn the history and find out about culture of European countries of their destination. They will improve their language skills necessary for studying modern and up to date professional literature and what is more they gain contacts with foreign partners from other schools. They will conduct new linguistic classes for students. The participants of methodological courses will gain new professional methodological skills.5. The methodology used in the project- analysis of the needs of our school,- a common linguistic, cultural and intellectual preparation of the participants in the program, - acquisition of methodological knowledge and skills during the mobility,- report on the implementation of the project,- use of the gained knowledge and skills in practice,- working out a plan for further European development of our school.6. The description of expected results and effect of the projectThanks to the knowledge and skills gained during the Erasmus program the teachers of our school will gain the knowledge about the culture, history and geography of European countries, which they will pass onto their colleagues and students. They will improve their language skills. They will represent our school at meetings with our foreign partners (Belgium and France) and will study methodology literature. Thanks to new methods of teachers’ work, the students from our school will become the further beneficiaries of the project.7. Long-term benefitsThe expected long-term benefits of our participation in the Erasmus project are: - improving the quality of school work,- improvement in the ways of school management,- increasing the reputation of the school,- increasing the awareness of multiculturalism in Europe among the school community, - establishing the attitude of tolerance, respect and kindness towards other cultures, - the development of international cooperation,- professional development and self-realization of teachers.
