„Nature takes me higher“ – is the short term European voluntary service project, whitch starts at 1.08.2015 and ends at 1.02.2017. Volunteering service will take part twice in Grazute regional park (Zarasai district, Lithuania), both for one month. All participants are young people with fewer opportunities: having some disabilities or social, economical and other difficulties.
The goals of the Project are:
--To create space for personal and social growth of young people with fewer opportunities, and to increase employability of participants..
-To gain competence of learning to learn through creative activities of environment protection and group process.
The main project activities are – arranging Grazute bike trail conection with Visaginas city and children-youth playground-ship on the shore of Luodis lake, in Grazute regional park. Youth non-formal education methods will be implemented using the group as learning source during the action.
During this project we will encourage young people to actively and meaningfully spend their free time in the nature, develop their working, social skills, learning to learn competence.
