According to WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), the speed that people consume the natural resources is 50% more than the speed that nature renews itself. They claim that if all the people in the world consume in the speed of an average European citizen, there will be a need of 3 more earths. Therefore, it is obvious that the awareness about nature is crucial to have an earth that is enough both for the people and for the other beings. In this respect, the project aims to create an awareness of the importance of nature by making use of natural elements. Furthermore, integration may occur better when the member states get to know about their legislative regulations. In order to overcome barriers, developing team-work skills is also important. Living in an era of global environmental problems, we want our students to look at the surrounding places, buildings or any kind of facilities within a renewed sense of planet friendly eye. We want to take an appreciative enquiry approach that builds upon the good practice that already exists in our schools and colleges to achieve future sustainability and move towards a more ideal scenario. The project partners come from a broad variety of public types of institutions, all working at different levels on environmental actions for young people who receive formal education, but they also come from European countries which adopt different policies for the environment, different viewpoints with regard to the meaning of integration, to the concept of independence and to the available choices and methodology. In the programmed meetings, participants, teachers and students (aged 14 to 19) will gain a direct experience in education and training systems of other countries and improve their competence in the use of ICT and foreign languages.
