Sint-Maartenscollege is a Roman Catholic secondary school that offers education for 'mavo (vmbo-t), havo, atheneum, gymnasium and tweetalig vwo (bilingual education). We are a certified TTO school and provide IB English A language and literature higher level. About 10 teachers of our school would like to improve their knowledge and competences for: - TTO teachers should have a certain quality in their level of English, CLIL and EIO. - New teaching methods and tools for teaching in English or other foreign languages - Teachers IB English should, according to the IBO, regularly attend courses abroad. - To optimise internationalisation projects. - To get more knowledge about how to set up a new curriculum to get the most out of our gifted students. - To do research to set up a new English curriculum in our VMBO After attending a course or training the participants have improved their competences and skills like CLIL. They improved their fluency in English and CALP and have new ideas for their lessons. Because of this the students will benefit and the school maintains an enthusiastic team of teachers. The participants will organise meetings for different departments in school to share their new knowledge. The results will be exchanged and shared with teachers of primary schools, colleagues of other bilingual schools, IB English teachers and members of University of Leiden and Delft.
