The project aims at the gradually substitution of polymers in the petrochemical sector by biodegradable polymers, such as plant-based polylactid (PLA), primarily for the fibres industry.The goal of the project is to produce fibres with special properties using PLA based nanocomposites. This type of fibre has applications in two major industrial areas with high added value: biomedical and transport.
