Participation of IES La Flota in the Erasmus+ program aims to foster interchange, cooperation and mobility between education and training systems within the European Union with reference to the teaching and learning needs of our students in vocational training.Being a school project it contributes to methodological improvement, gives cohesion to education program, contributes to the internationalization of our school, as well as it improves education through the exchange of best practices with other European schools, furthermore the development of foreign languages competences . This project also enables the participating students to learn first-hand about the functioning of other production systems, share ideas and discover best practices.This project’s target is to offer a traineeship period abroad to 8 students in intermediate vocational training of the following professional families: "Administration and Management", "Hospitality and Tourism" and "Food Industry", whose average age is around 20 years.The activities that comprise this project range from the selection of students, finding partners and establishing training agreements, to monitoring, evaluating and disseminating the project itself (during and after execution).The main objectives of this project are:- Improving the level of skills and key competencies of intermediate vocational training students.- Encouraging the learning of foreign languages.- Enhancing multilateral cooperation among higher education institutions in the field of the European Union.- Strengthen relations with main international hotel chains.- widen professional competence of students.- Support the development of content, pedagogies and practice for lifelong learning, based on innovation and ICTs.- To promote improvements in the quality, innovation excellence and internationalization between education and training institutions.- Support modernization and strengthen the international dimension of education and training systems.- Helping the integration of students into the labor market across the European framework.- Facilitate access to mobility for those students who have less economic resources.In line with the key objective of the Erasmus + program, "Improving knowledge and key skills" this is expected to get favorable results in terms of integration into the labor market of the students, as well as increasing their competencies, changing their attitudes, and achieving substantial progress in their learning process.Some other expected impacts from Erasmus+ Project are fostering better organizational practices, creating international networks, experiences and knowledge transfer across platforms as eTwinning and finally, giving our school a European dimension in a sustainable way.Our participation in Erasmus+ project ultimate objective is to disseminate and integrate the program’s results among all the local, regional, and international education community thus serving as a catalyst for synergies and example to other vocational schools.We firmly believe that through this project, besides the linguistic improvement, students will improve their employability, better opportunities will be offered to students who have less economic resources and our school will get greater visibility and recognition in Europe.
