Nachhaltigkeit schulischer Entwicklungsprozesse sichern - Wege der Schulentwicklung im transalpinen Vergleich
Start date: Jul 1, 2016, End date: Jun 30, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Erasmus+ Project gives teachers, who are in charge of quality assurance and change management in vocational education, the chance to reflect and reconsider the standards that are set at their school. The thirty participants, all of them are teachers in vocational education and traning, are responsible for the quality processes at their schools. They will have the need for good examples of school development, both in theory and in practice. In addition to the quality management, the focus is on intercultural education development. All different actors in school development (school directors, quality managers and consultants) are involved and systematically brought together with partners from South Tyrol. The first Activity of the project is scheduled for the 16.10. – 22.10. 2016 in Italy/South Tyrol/Bozen. Project Partners are regional governments of both countries in their function as school authorities, on the one Hand "Regierung der Oberpfalz" and on the other Hand "deutsches Schulamt für Berufsschulen". The participants receive theoretical basis by members of the German School Authority in Bozen, the evaluation team and the quality representatives of vocational schools. They also observe the practical implementation at German vocational schools in South Tyrol. In workshops the new findings of the participants are reflected and formulated as new objectives. Participants should plan to take appropriate measures to improve their own work at the school after the training event.Half a year after the first visit to South Tyrol, the results will be reflected and deepend, as part of a second mobility with the Project Partners. It also goes back to the findings of two previous projects and connects the German and South Tyrolean system with the Austrian perspective. As the participants get to know each other it is expected that they exchange views beyond the project itselfs. It will set a further brick to a transalpine network in educational improvment and quality management. The necessary time and space should be given to allow the reflection of their own work and to learn through the experience of South Tyrol.Aim is to …• learn about the quality process in South Tyrol.• compare instruments and methods of South Tyrol with those of Bavaria.• find out about qualification courses for quality representatives of schools.• compare the external evaluation in Bavaria with the one in South Tyrol and discuss their strength.• learn about the type of development consulting in South Tyrol.• observe the performance in the fields inclusion and action-oriented teaching methods.• the participants thoroughly reconsider their role in the quality management process and define their set standards.Additional to lectures and workshops visits to exemplary schools and the exchange of experience with persons in charge of German vocational schools in South Tyrol are planned.Besides to the above mentioned professional competences we try to improve interdisciplinary competences. We want them...• to see an autonomous school as a chance and perceive quality management as positive for the school.• to consider their work as an improvement of their carrier opportunities.• to reach a higher level of motivation and to participate in training events abroad.• to value the cultural diversity of the people of South Tyrol which leads to an open minded working environment.• to be willing to activate students to reach a greater understanding for a social, linguistic and cultural diversity. The lasting benefit of this project lies in the improvement of the cooperation beetween vocational schools of Bavaria, South Tyrol, Austria and if posssible switzerland. In regular meetings the cooperation will be established, leading to an exchange of experience resulting in new impulses for the work in school improvement and quality assurance. This vison of an established network we call a transalpine network in educational improvment and quality management. The participants are encouraged to further education on an international level which is highly important for the increasing internationality in the vocational training. Consequentially this leads to a modern and sustainable qualification of the staff of vocational schools. The importance of vocational training for the economical, social and sustainable commitment is undisputed.
