»Neighbouring country, what does your bread and pastries taste off?« The project will be realized by the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Austria, „Regionales Berufsbildungszentrum Soziales, Ernährung und Bau der Landeshauptstadt Kiel“ and the vocational school Eisenstadt in Austria. Task of the Honorary Consulate is the organization, coordination, as well as the application and the accounting of the project. Furthermore it will take care of the linguistic and cultural preparation of the participants. The „Regionales Berufsbildungszentrum Soziales, Ernährung und Bau der Landeshauptstadt Kiel“ is responsible for the selection of suitable participants according to pre-determined criteria, their company as well and the monitoring of their learning progress in Eisenstadt. The vocational school Eisenstadt provides for the accommodation of trainees and teachers and integration into school life. It organizes corresponding enterprises in which the trainees are able to extend their professional skills and get to know the operational systems and structures. The leisure and cultural program is assambled and carried out by the vocational school Eisenstadt, so that the exchange student become an insight into the Austrian life, culture and traditions. It is a group mobility of 10 trainees for the bakery-craft. They are accompanied by at least one instructor. Because the students have limited kneeowledge of foreign languages, the exchange to a "german speaking " country is useful. Participants are given the chance to expand their social and communication skills and to learn international team play. They will get to know different craft techniques and procedures in Austria , which will supported by tuition at the vocational school. For example the activities in bakeries differ in the making of bread and pastries, adressing of the customers and in the presentation of the goods. The hygiene regulations suit in both countries to the European regulation.
