The project focused on internship fits into the long-term school concept. It will enable us to implement practical training of students of pedagogical lyceum in English-speaking countries. The project meets the efforts of our school to create partnerships with foreign entities, transfer and exchange of knowledge, continuous quality improvement of studies and its integration into the European framework. Foreign internships are conceived as part of the participants´ study and will be recognized as a mandatory practice in the subject of Pedagogy. The experience gained during the internship, participants will apply in their future study, in their private life and at work. The requirements of the labor market are another reason for the project's implementation. Employers appreciate when graduates are well trained, have had work experience and speak foreign languages well.The project aim is to enhance professional practical training of school pupils and to enrich it with a European dimension. Participants will link school theoretical education with practice and gain new knowledge, skills and competencies in the educational field, they will learn about the real working environment and gain work habits. During internships, participants will develop their social and educational skills and become familiar with various educational and training methods and approaches. The sub-objectives of the project include participants´ improvement in English, development of their personalities including adaptability and mobility, strengthen the financial literacy and their cultural enrichment. The project will contribute to easier the access of participants into the labor market. From the perspective of school, development of cooperation with foreign partners, exchange of experiences, increase of the competence of school staff, increase of the attractiveness of study and enhance the reputation of the school are project´s aims as well.The project is designed for 20 students of the 3rd and 4th year of study of Pedagogical Lyceum focused on humanities or sport. Internships will be held within the mandatory professional practice in the subject of Pedagogy. They will be held in the UK and Ireland and will last for 4 weeks during February and March 2017. The project also counts with the participation of two accompanying persons.Before leaving for an internship, participants undergo preparatory training course, which will consist of language, culture and project preparation. During the internship, participants will work in the field of education, childcare and leisure time activities. They will be placed in host organizations such as nursery and primary schools, after-school clubs, youth centers and sports clubs. Participants will carry out activities related to educational and handling childcare. Their tasks will be connected with assistance by the development of the educational program, personal hygiene, dressing, eating, practicing simple everyday activities and skills, promotion of self-sufficiency, meeting psychosocial needs, etc. Participants will become familiar with work focused on the development of personality, interests, knowledge and creative abilities of children. The project results will be regarding to its focus mainly on intangible form. It will be a new knowledge, skills and competences in education, intercultural development, personality development and progress in English. Participants will enhance their independence, adaptability and labor mobility. To the tangible outcomes of the project we can count certificates evidencing completion of practice, ECVET placement evaluation, photographic documentation and materials developed within the dissemination of the project.Thanks to the project participants will gain a quality work experience that will be certified by Europass Mobility. The internship will help them in their further studies and after its completion it will be reflected in the increased employability of participants in the labor market.Project impact on our school will be reflected in the development of international cooperation, exchange of experience, improvement of education and in building the reputation of the school. The project will enhance the quality of human resources of the school. Project team members and accompanying persons will gain new experiences, which they will use in teaching and working on other projects.From the European perspective, a significant impact of the project on the development of the mobility of participants, the growth of English language knowledge and acquiring intercultural experience are important. We see the importance of the project in exchange of experiences between partner organizations and the development of European cooperation. The project implements the European Qualification tool ECVET and Europass Mobility and thus contributes to the standardization of eligibility and qualifications in the EU.
