Start date: Jan 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The 17 activities of the 2016 work programme will involve partner organisations, mobile and non-mobile students, local communities and stakeholders. The work programme will focus on our large scale European wide projects with an impact to help Erasmus students either directly or indirectly. All local organisations of ESN will organise a wide range of regular activities for international and local students such as mentor programmes and different integration activities. The work programme is divided as follows:Membership Management Activities 1 to 5: Regular statutory activities are organised to ensure the successful functioning of the network. These include the Annual General Meeting, the six meetings of the Council of National Representatives and the larger Council of National Delegates. These meetings ensure consistency in the statutory work and complement the International Board meetings which take place twice per month. The different questionnaires and web management as well as e-learning tools are part of the membership management.Capacity Building & Training Activities 6 to 8: Throughout the year, ESN will run several capacity building and training activities to enhance regional cooperation and exchange of knowledge between volunteers. These events reach thousands of volunteers with a focus on best practice sharing, project cooperation and policy discussions. Advocacy & Representation Activities 9-15: Every year ESN runs research studies to assess mobility programmes and our work in general. This will help us create policy recommendations for evidence based advocacy. ESN will reach out with its messages through its membership in European Movement International, European Youth Forum, Lifelong Learning Platform, Erasmus+ Student and Alumni Association as well as in partnership with European Students' Union, to promote mobility and the opportunities the Erasmus+ programme offers to students. ESN vill continue taking part in multiple conferences, panel discussions, projects and other events. ESN will also keep in close contact with the European Commission, in particular the Erasmus+ Unit and the European Parliament (Youth Intergroup and CULT committee) as well as national policy makers in the field of youth, training and education.Activities 16 and 17 focus on social projects and research projects. ESN works in the field of social inclusion through its projects in the community and to promote mobility for people with disabilities. The focus with the numerous research projects and surveys will be to make an impact and get better tools for evidence based advocacy. This especially in the field of student accommodation, through the HousErasmus+ project on housing, and accessibility of Higher Education Institutions, campuses and cities through the MappED! project.
