Trainings will be combined with meetings with the interpreter and deaf associations, to get them involved in the efsli 2015 consultation process and also stimulate collaboration between practitioners and service users in the further development of training and services. Target groups: interpreter and deaf associations.Training the trainers: this action line started in 2014 and will continue during 2015, following up the guidelines established by the EFSLI publications "Learning Outcomes" and “Assessment Guidelines". These 2 publications present the minimum skills expected of a graduate interpreter anywhere in Europe. The publications launch at the EP was hosted by 2 MEPs and participated the Director Generals of the 3 main DGs involved in the interpretation/translation fields. The EFSLI Committee of Experts, formed by academics from across Europe have now focused on the need for full trained trainers in order to set up quality sign language training programs that make possible students to achieve the above mentioned learning outcomes. In 2015 EFSLI will continue with the work developing a "blended" learning module course to support the implementation of training programs in the countries without formal training. Interpreters with relevant experience from the countries that have not yet formal training will get involved in the implementation. The results will be presented in a conference in Antwerp. Target groups: training programs, interpreters, policy makers.Deaf interpreters seminar:EFSLI is promoting the training and further development of the profession of deaf interpreter.EFSLI established in 2013 a permanent Deaf Interpreters committee, and the 3 first editions of the seminar (Vienna 2012, Ljubljana 2013, Antwerp 2014)were highly successful. In 2015 and meeting the increasing demand detected, EFSLI will organize for the first time 2 European seminars in one year for deaf interpreters in order to investigate this field and identify specific training needs to full develop this professional profile. Annual conference in Warsaw: The aim is to provide an international platform for all stakeholders (researchers, practitioners, trainers, service users, service providers and policy makers) to discuss recent and needed developments, and to share best practices. At least 200 participants from 25 European countries are expected. Conference proceedings will be published. In addition EFSLI research fund, available for researchers across Europe, foster also further developments in the field of interpreters education and training.Advisory task: To provide advise to new and current educational programmes for interpreters. In 2012 EFSLI set up a Commitee of Experts in training and education.
