„Jazz – oriented classical music – from Bach to Gerschwin” The project aims at improving and acquiring practical abilities by 40 project participants playing violin, guitar and drums. It shall include arrangement, articulation and performance of classical, jazz and pop music in transcriptions. Classes in the field of theory and practical performance of selected compositions will be conducted by the teachers from German schools with cooperation with Polish teachers. The participants will get familiar with new arrangements of classical compositions of J. S .Bach, George Gershwin, in addition electric instruments (violin, drums, keyboard) as well as German logistics of conducting music workshops. Workshops will be held in chamber groups including Polish and German participants and the selected compositions of J . S. Bach, George Gershwin will be arranged in jazz versions. The participants of the program will have a chance to know music education in Germany, will obtain skills and knowledge in the field of classical music transcription. Acquired practical skills of styles, arrangement and articulation of classical and jazz music will be confirmed with a certificate of German school and a certificate of Europass Mobility. Additional qualifications confirmed with a certificate shall help the youth commence education in the secondary schools of music and in the future – study either in Poland or abroad and presumably perform around the world. The organizer of the workshop, together with the German partner will enrich their experience as regards educational activity. The head authorities of the Polish school shall implement in the school curriculum innovative elements and experiences in the field of new trends of interpreting classical and jazz music. It will bring benefits in the form of a cross-border competition of pop music organized every two years. Exchange of experiences between Polish and German teachers will be possible. They shall improve their teaching skills, as well artistic ones, taking advantages of own successes. Established contacts with German authorities in the field of chamber music shall initiate new project activites. The course of training works shall be controlled by the Polish headmistress, three tutors, representatives of the Parents Coucil as well as Polish and German workers directly educating the youth. The project shall be held between 26.06 - 10.07.2016r.
