The long-term EVS project "MUSIC AND ART FOR YOUTH INCLUSION AND COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT" that took place in the south of Portugal in the city of Faro, and hosted during 11 months 2 volunteers from France and Spain between February 2015 and January 2016. The project themes were focused mainly on inter-cultural activities based in Music and Art has a way to support the local community, especially kids and youngster's from vulnerable and poverty communities where social exclusion and schools drop out is a identified problem. The main propose of this EVS project was to give opportunity to the volunteers to complement in a creative way the activities that ARCM run to fulfill the free time of youth through various ways but with an European dimension and an European ad value. During the project were developed activities based on arts of theatre and music, using methodologies of non-formal education, that the 2 young volunteers from France and Spain had the opportunity to organize to empower and develop the local community. Some of the activities were: workshops of creative and inclusive art, youth debates focus on culture and music, theatrical presentations, poetry and cultural events, quizzes and games about European Culture and Music, workshops about how to play guitar, inter-cultural exhibitions, youth conferences, fundraising events, thematic movies exhibitions always related to the theme of art and culture and always having in mind the European Context. Therefore, the volunteer also followed and supported the associative work realized outdoors (events production, band tours, etc). All the activities also had a solidarity and Crowdfunding campaign behind -"ARCM On The Move" - with the aim of raising financial support for renovations of the new space of the Association. This campaign involved the invitation to artists and musicians of Portugal and Europe to participate in music events and in the inside and outside decoration of the new space of ARCM that is growing.
