PROJECT
FINISHED
The project was a response to the needs of employees of museum to obtain some experience abroad. This need was identified after completion of first own project, which helped to establish a system of continuing education of museum staff with the ESF assistance. The completed project has shown us that the next step in the professionalization of museum activities could be a museum education staff abroad.
The project will work with two groups. The first six-membered group represents the management and members of the museum board. These people will undergo a comprehensive twelve-day course at Museumsakademie Graz. It organizes seminars and workshops while taking into account newest trends and developments in museum management . These meetings allow for experience exchange of museum professionals Europe-wide. We also plan to establish a cultural cluster, therefore studi visits to the UK, VB, Museumsviertel Wien and Museumsinsel Berlin are enisaged. We also plan to submitt two project focused on cluster creation, financed from the Central Europe and CZ-PL cross-border co-operation programme.
The second group of participants will be a group of five experts working mostly as exposition guarants or curators ( eg. paleontology, military history , 20th century history ) . These will undergo job-shadowing mobilities in Germany and Austria. Except for them we plan job-shadowings in Finland and Slovakia for the sake of our natural sciences section.
We assume that a total of 11 people will participate in the project , 6 in the form of professional development courses and 5 of them will undergo job- shadowing.
The outcome of the project would be the exchange of experiences , which will result, while using Austrian know- how, into the preparation of the museum cluster of Hradec Králové Region. Cultural cluster can create a vital identifying element for local residents and could strengthen regional identity. We wish to use the knowledge obtained via this project to construct such cluster.
