In the Public Institution of Culture, Youth and Sports Litija, Youth center Litija we are planning a new EVS project, which will start on October 1st 2016 and will last until 30th of September 2017.The project, which we called Multiverse MEDIA we will host two volunteers.In our organization we have, also through the participation in the international project of strategic partnership SMAU, realized that young people today spend too much of their free time online, where they are, mostly very early, confronted with all kinds of content, which is more or less suitable for them. Upon implementation of the project, we have come to one more important finding - we as an organization Youth center, don’t offer enough quality online content for young people.Another aspect is also important - young people have a lot of knowledge about the Internet and other modern media – they have experience in design, message passing, know the topics that interest them, they follow all new social networks, many of them are interested in computer programming .... Through all these and other findings, we developed the idea of a project, which will focus on creating high-quality multimedia content for young people.The main objectives of the project are the acquisition and improvement of practical skills in the field of computer and information science, acquisition and improvement of all eight key competences of lifelong learning, preparation and production of video content for Web and other media with topics in different areas that interest young people and at the same time they also benefit from. One goal of the project is also to offer an environment where both volunteers will be able to develop their artistic potential and express it through a variety of different media.We will offer them an opportunity where they have the possibility of learning and training in the field of design, photography, recording and editing short films, cooperation in elaborating the new website of our Youth center and participate in the preparation of an online newspaper for young people.All the activities that volunteers will prepare or organize will take place in the day center of MC Litija. This is how they will interact with visitors of the center on daily basis. Preparation of multimedia and other content will be made on computers that will be installed in the computer room in the day center, along with five computers for users of the day center. In addition volunteers will also provide support to our youth worker who is working with young visitors in our day center. This is how volunteers will always be in close contact with our young citizens. Both of them will be able to encourage our youth to be creative. They will implement peer learning and non-formal trainings in our everyday program. They will also include our visitors in to the planning, organizing and implementing additional programs that they will want to carry out.The planned activities will include young people with fewer opportunities and young people with special needs from our local environment. Activities will be designed so that everybody involved in the project will be able to strength competences; they will also offer encouragement for active leisure and motivate participants for education, both formal and non-formal.
