The aim of the project was to realize four long term European voluntary services in three organizations active in the Czech-German cooperation. All hosting organizations work with the theme of multicultural history and present of the Sudetenland – a Czech area, which were inhabited mostly by ethnic Germans expelled from Czechoslovakia after the Second World War, and the perception of this part of history by the contemporary society. The project included two Czech volunteers who has been sent to a twelve month mobility of European Voluntary Service to German organizations Junge Aktion der Ackermann-Gemeinde in Munich and Ackermann-Gemeinde in Würzburg, and two German volunteers who has been sent to a twelve month mobility of European Voluntary Service to the NGO Antikomplex in Prague. The project aimed mainly the improvement of intercultural competencies of participants and their ability to actively participate in civil society.
