As it has been mentioned above, the participants are 7-12 and their courses have been selected based on their needs and in relation with their subjects and their professional, teaching, improvement and development. The participants aim would be to learn new methods and tools in the teaching of their fields in order to improve their students learning abilities. The school will be reviewing its timetable and curriculum in order to add thematic units that will be the outcome of the training courses. The aim will be for the teachers to train other colleagues as well and implement new methods and ideas within their classrooms. In addition, the participants will develop their intercultural competences, new networks and new contacts.
Project 1: European Diversity Education
The course deals with school failure, language diversity and other kinds of diversity with promoting inclusion and inter-cultural competence. The participants will understand important concepts for dealing with diversity in the classroom. Learning by doing, interactive short lectures, discussions, cooperative learning, drama. There will be a follow-up by trying out the teaching programme that participants have worked out and presented during the course, sharing their experience on-line.
Project 2: PPMEEP Preparation of Proposals and Management of European Projects under Erasmus+
This training course introduces to prospective European project coordinators the step by step key issues in order to begin with an idea and end up with a proposal for a European (Erasmus+) project including elements of project management.
Project 3: Flipped classroom in the life long learning - supporting trainers and adults' participation to innovative educational course.
The course aim is to support trainers in their continuous educational process transferring them methodologies useful to foster learners interest and make their courses more effective (main topics: pedagogy and didactics).
Project 4: Managing People - The aim of this course is to improve the management, language and communication skills. The implementation of varying skills when dealing with colleagues and students will be explored. These will be passed to colleagues in order to improve the overall communication within the organisation.
Project 5: European Projects Design, Management and Funding for Erasmus Plus - This course will enhance the knowledge and practical skills of the financial and economic affairs for the new Erasmus+ 2014-2020. Through this course the organisation will benefit in managing European Fundings.
Project 6: Future Learning with iPads and Tablets – The New Course Program for Erasmus+ - Through this course, the teachers will improve the ICT competences and teaching methods and tools. Tablets and smartphones are powerful devices which when used in an appropriate manner could be extremely useful tools in the classroom and improve students learning and attitude towards mathematics.
Project 7 - MATHEU - Identification, Motivation and Support of Mathematical Talents in European Schools. The identification tool will be introduced and the educator will be trained on how to use it, in either primary or secondary education levels, but specifically for the ages 9-18. The teacher will become familiar with new teaching approaches in order to support talented pupils.
