Multi-kulti
Start date: Feb 1, 2015, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project aims to introduce the disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged young people from the four implementing countries (Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary) to the situation, historical traditions, past and culture of the Roma living in each other's countries and thus enable them to make parallels to the situation in their own countries. Beyond this, we think it is important that they can compare the differences between the minority and majority societies. All this is realised through non-formal pedagogical methods built on the means of culture. On the one hand, our purpose is to sensitivise the target group towards the socially vulnerable groups, and on the other hand to improve the participants' individual and community competences. The youth exchange program is implemented in Kecskemét, where each country delegates 8 youngsters and 1 group leader. The main long-term effect of the project is the attitude that we wish to give the young during the exchange: it is important that they are tolerant with others and deal with their narrow and broad environment. Therefore, the project includes activities aiming to improve these competences. In the long term, another effect is the international networking that is really positive among the implementing organisations
