SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT The name of the project is ‘’ The Vocational Training of The Refugees ‘’ . The project consortium includes Erzin Public Education Center , Dörtyol Public Education Center , Iskenderun Public Education Center and Belen Public Education Center in the city of Hatay ,Turkey . It has 25 participants /experts related to the adult educating topic. They will be in mobility through 3 different flows . The European Partners are Germany Herne city BiKuF , Bildungs-und Kulturforum Europa Recklinghausen , Sweden Stockholm city Thorengruppen AB- Yrkesgymnasiet education center,and Spain Barselona city Moveu EU Mobility Education Center. The Topic of the Project : The region of the consortium members, Hatay , Turkey has been highly migrated by the Syrian refugees in the recent years because of the political chaos in Syria. Once a pass through country , Turkey has now been a target due to the recent positive developments in its economic situations . According to the data given by the Governorship of Hatay , there are 229. 617 Syrian refugees , 14966 of them have been living in the camps . These group has been facing many difficulties such as poor access to medical treatment , low rate in access to education , poor quality living conditions and low salary access to labor . People are traumatized by the problems because of poor communication competencies . Language barrier is one of the most biggest problems they face . By the help of the project We aim to : • increase the educational competencies of our staff working in this field • To be in the European Education Network • To transfer knowledge and methods used in refugee training field • Capacity building of the members of the Consortium . • Increase in the number of the courses given to refugees • To facilitate refugee access to labor by the help of the courses • To rehabilitate refugee adults and help them overcome the problems they face • To contribute to the regional development by using the labor potential of refugees . • To help build a future strategy to the institutions in the vocational training of refugees • To help the social integration of the migrated people. • To learn the principles of refugee education . • To observe the European dimension in the field . The needs analyses of the participants and the cooperation occured among the Consortium Members after the Syrian Crisis has made us obligatory to apply for a funding in the field of Refugee Vocational Training . After having searched which hosting institutions could be our partners , and after long lasting communication using ICT, Skype etc , The members has built the cooperation for working together in the project management period and beyond . All the responsibilities of the partners are detailed ,agreed , and given in the working timetable . All steps are well organized and discussed regarding SMART principles of project. The Evaluation , Dissemination activities and other key activities are determined in a project calendar in the Partnership Agreement .
