Move On is a multicultural youth exchange. It will take place in Aghveran, Armenia from September 10-18,2016 and will involve 32 participants and group leaders from 6 countries: Armenia,Georgia, Ukraine, Netherlands, Italy, Poland. The main aim of the project is to bring together young people from different cultural backgrounds and to create a platform for inter-cultural dialogue. In this way to raise their awareness about different cultures and to promote tolerance, understanding and respect towards other cultures, as well as to encourage young people to be active in their society and to fight against discrimination and existing stereotypes. The project intends to be a response on growing interest concerning European issues such as European citizenship, unity in diversity and common values. The activities foreseen by the project will help the participants to get new skills and tools for breaking the stereotypes about other cultures and create atmosphere of common understanding . Participants from each country will have opportunity to present piece of their culture and traditions during the national evenings. There will be organised workshops which will develop in participants the sense of confidence and will encourage them to be active citizens and to take active role in the life of their community.Methodology will consist of : workshops, games, simulation games, discussions, we will have different workshops : blog workshop, video shooting, newspaper. All these are elements of Non-formal Education focus on voluntary learning and active participation.The project will have impact on the participants personal development, they will realise the importance of being active European citizen, they will evaluate and develop sense of appreciation of the European values. They will develop knowledge about different countries, will learn about different cultures. Project will also have impact on the local community, as we will invite young people from the local community to some activities also to intercultural evening, where they will have chance to meet young people representing other cultures, and will also learn about EU programmes. All participants will get Youthpasss certificates as proof of their non-formal learning outcome. Participants will understand what intercultural dialogue means and will be more open minded toward different cultures and backgrounds. In this way will develop the sense of tolerance and combat discrimination and racism.
