MOTIV+
Start date: Jul 1, 2016, End date: Jun 30, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project MOTIV+, for a period of 24 months, is supported by Le LP Germaine Tillion that offers training in the tertiary and industrial sectors (professional VAT Management Administration, electrical engineering, plastics and Composites, CAP polyvalent staff catering, carpentry and metalwork) and a European professional class. It is located in Auvergne, Thiers, city of 12,500 inhabitants. The school has 350 students and 43 teachers and a boarding school. The students originated from very disadvantaged families (65%). They are girls and boys from diverse cultural backgrounds. Opening up of Europe and fight against dropping out of school are an integral part of the school project. At a contact seminar organised by the Auvergne region, teachers met with the representative of a Finnish partner. A bilateral exchange was then considered with the vocational centre SEDU located in Seinäjoki, a town of 50,000 inhabitants in the southwest of the Finland. This partnership is formalized by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. Partners are in turn host partner and sending partner. Mobilities had been achieved in 2016. The project is supported by a leading team consisting in the principal, two teachers (Maths and English) referring mobility region Auvergne, the director of vocational and technical education and a financial manager. The team members wish to:- Reduce dropping out of school- Enter their school in an internationalization strategy- Improve visibility and recognition of learning outcomesThrough this project, the school G. Tillion plans to expand the other staff mobility to study the assessment of learning outcomes system via the ECVET tool used since August 2015 in the vocational school SEDU. Our institution wishes to develop professional skills for innovative practices in order to experience a learning system modularization without ranking. Staff mobilities are planned in November 2016 and 2017 for both partners. During this training, the exchange of practices between teachers are planned as well as the study of the French and Finnish assessment system, cultural visits and meeting with different partners. The Finnish colleagues will be welcomed under the same conditions in France in November 2016 and 2017. The students of European section, girls and boys, are from backgrounds that do not offer the opportunity to travel. Their level in English is low and the mastery of a foreign language is one of the keys to employability and a continuation of study. Through a transnational professional mobility for learners, the purpose of MOTIV + project is to strengthen their language and professional skills but also re-engage them and prevent dropout. In this context, 4 learners in professional VAT electricity, management Administrative, sales and plastics will benefit from 3 weeks of work placement in November 2016 and 10 of them November 2017 in companies. The Finnish students will be welcomed under the same conditions in France in November 2016 and 2017. MOTIV + provides a risk management protocol, works on the basis of a logical framework and a retro planning. This project should lead to greater compatibility between the different professional teachings and readability of certification across Europe to enable young people to access a broader labour market, thus strengthening their sense of belonging to the European Community. Teachers will be more skilled and more experienced in mobility for European professional certification through ECVET. The training will be more motivating for the learners and teams through a new learning device, new practices and methods of positive certifications. The project responds to Europe 2020 strategy and are parts of national, regional and local priorities that encourage colleges to establish exchanges and partnerships with French and foreign companies and accompany them in this approach.
