Due to the gap between schooling systemand market and lack of appropriate supportstructure, more than 30% of the youngpeople aged 18–30 in the remote borderareas of Latvia, Belarus and Lithuania areunemployed, they lack entrepreneurial andsocial skills and this is keeping them awayfrom local employment market and forcingto move to large development centres intheir countries and abroad.The YES project intends to implement aninnovative approach in strengthening youthentrepreneurship and sociability throughcreation of Youth Entrepreneurship andSociability (YES) business incubators networkand joint YES strategy in the municipalities ofPreili (LV), Glubokoje (BY) and Zarasai (LT).Within the project partners elaborate thejoint cross border YES strategy 2010, improvepremises for YES business incubators,activate the target group and market theYES concept. In the framework of the projectalso Belarusian partners get acquainted withthe EU experience in supporting traditionaland youth entrepreneurship.
