This is a mirror project with the cross-border partner Tessedik Sámuel College. Implementation of the project activities is intended to increase the availability of specialised information and training in order to reduce barriers and encourage cross-border dialogue, co-operation and joint exploitation of river-based economic opportunities in the border-spanning Tisza region. The main goal is to identify priorities and opportunities for cross border economic cooperation in order to boost sustainable development of the Tisza region. Activities include a socio-economic assessment of the current situation regarding the coherence of the region as well as estimation of competitiveness in different fields. Finally, the project envisages the establishment of the Centre for River-based Business Development which will provide training to the local SMEs and information to the wider regional and national business community on potentials for cross-border economic co-operation. Moreover, the Centre will constantly monitor tourism market developments in the border region and will provide organizational and technical support for the creation of an SME tourism cluster.
