PROJECT
FINISHED
The school is well known for successfull incorporation of children with special needs. They follow the lessons according to the adjusted curriculum. Both teachers and personal assistants regularly help them.
The school is therefore focused on giving support to teachers and parents with the intention to increase the number of children with special needs in their development who successfully finish their primary education in their local communities, as well as on improving the quality of their education.
Constant professional improvement of the teachers is also required for the quality of the education to be increasing, so we think that this project of professional improvement abroad is of extreme importance.
To prevent early departures from the school (to improve the attainment of young people, particularly those at risk of early school leaving and with low basic skills) of students with special needs and to prevent sending them to the specialized institutions, European Development Plan of our school includes educated teachers who are motivated and educated enough and who are, with their developed governing skills, competent to motivated students with difficulties, and not only them, to have better key competences.
Teachers who will be able to carry out the European Development Plan of our school should get familiar with new methods of teachings, improve their digital competences and throught their involvement give an European dimension to the institution. Teachers should be active factors and iniciators of their long life learnings. As a school very motivated to use ICT during classes, we think that technology can be of great aid to the teachers so the educational process would get more interesing to all students, especially those with difficulties, and so the students themselves would, throught that process, get more motivated for involvements in the regular and additional activities.
We want to develop the skills of the 21st century, to improve the quality of our teachings and learning processes in schools.
Ten teachers and the principal of the School would attend courses in European Union countries.
Project participants were selected by mutual motivational talks. We were guided with the need of our school to provide students with special needs, as well as other students involved in regular education, with a quality education at all levels of education.
