Business support structures frequently receive requests from SMEs to resolve complex demands related to the opportunities offered by the enlargement of the European Union and more specifically concerning industrial cooperation. Each partner has its own instruments and already offers advice services to SMEs, but there are very few instruments that are structured and common to all organisations. Such instruments would promote collaboration between SMEs from current Member States and SMEs from new and future Member States. These difficulties therefore call for targeted advice, appropriate instruments and collaboration with locally-established partners. Overall objective / Objectif général The institutional participants from partner regions therefore wish to improve their work methods to provide a response adapted to their own SMEs, which represent a vehicle for regional development. This means there is a need to create an interregional network and to develop common methods and instruments (transferred between partners or created specifically during the operation), which can provide support to the More Cooperation partners. Expected results / Résultats attendus The More Cooperation project will help partners to network the whole field of industrial cooperation (from the ideas stage through to the implementation stage). For this reason, the most efficient instruments will have to be accessible to all, in particular an advertising site where businesses from the regions involved will be able to place their cooperation offer or request, or a database of intermediary business support structures. In addition, each partner will have to mobilise their own network so that a sufficiently extensive range of solutions can be offered to businesses. In this way, each region will validate the methods (which will be distributed in a guide) with 15 businesses, selected for their interest and the suitability of their project with regards to the project objectives, that is, to promote industrial cooperation in Europe.
