PROJECT
FINISHED
This project, called MAYBE (More And Better Youth Exchanges), aimed at realizing more international youth exchanges. We think that international youth exchanges are very effective when it comes to promote young peoples ability to see the possibilities it gives to live in the EU and that there are a lot of learning involved in this like entrepreneurial and intercultural learning but also that it gives an understanding and tolerance for differences among people and cultures. All this gives our youngsters better preconditions to manage school, get a job and a good life in spite of different difficulties they are facing in life.
The participants in the project were 27 professional youth workers, including the natinal coordinators, from Sweden, Finland, France, Lithuania and Norway. The partner organisations are all national or regional federations for local youth centers, except for the lithuanian partner that is active locally in Vilnius.
The main activity in the project lasted for three days and was a meeting in Sweden. The participants learned about Erasmus +, how to write a project application, transformed - by using an Idea Workshop - crazy ideas into realistic and workable project ideas with themes based on the needs of the youngsters they are working with. The Idea Workshops was made in smaller internationally mixed groups and served as a starter for developing common new projects.
The direct result of the project was three international project processes that are intended to be applicated from Erasmus + during 2015.
The longer term benefits of this project will be more youngsters with some kind of difficulty that through international exchanges will get as a better and richer life free from prejudices and unemployment:)
