Project activities will ensure the development of teachers intercultural and professional skills, training of the English language skills, strengthen the sense of European citizenship, familiarize with the various European countries' education systems, at the time presenting Lithuanian education system and experience. I. The aim of the project - improve the quality of education, focused on the school as a learning organization model. Participation in the project will ensure a successful implementation of the strategic plan objectives of 2015 - 2019 school year in the project selected priority areas: - ICT ; - Assessment and self-assessment ; - CLIL / environment protection education ; - Education of students with special needs. II. Participants of the project In order to ensure the overall implementation of the project activities, providing continuity from primary school to basic school and efficient management system through innovation in the educational process, the following project team was formed: 2 primary school teachers , 2 subject teachers and a representative of the school administration. III . Description of activities 1. The strategic goal of school- improve the quality of education in creating a learning environment , focusing on each student's progress. Participants of the project : - will improve the management of lessons; - will establish and maintain pupils' personal development in a process of education; - will advertise experience acquired during the project for Klaipeda district educators (forms: lessons, seminars, conferences). 2. The strategic goal of our school - educate the general competencies for student 's success. Participants of the project : - will acquire new skills by working with the special needs students; - will seek more attractive curriculum; - will adopt ICT and CLIL in educational lectures for primary school pupils of Klaipeda district in „Žiniukas school" sessions; - will advertise experience acquired during the project for Klaipeda district educators . 3. The strategic goal of our school – create modern aesthetic and educational environments . Participants of the project : - professionally will apply ICT and expand functionality of educational classrooms; - will organize non-traditional environmental lessons in "green" school spaces. IV. Project implementation methodology Mobilities to schools in Greece and qualification training courses in Iceland, Malta, England and Finland. Each project will include four stages: 1. Preparation : Collecting information about Lithuania, Gargždai, Gargždai "Krantas" General School and Lithuanian education system, systematization and preparation of presentations in cooperation with the TIC of Gargždai, Education Department and Education Center of Klaipėda district. 2. Mobility: Going to the qualification training courses in Iceland, Malta, England and Finland; going to Greece schools. 3. Dissemination: Inform about visited countries and their education systems; systematize acquired competencies and present to the school community; implement theory into practice in education process; information dissemination of the project will be carried out publishing articles in local newspapers and will be placed on school's and town‘s websites. Stand of the project will be displayed at school for community and guests. Dissemination of the project will take place in project countries, sharing best experience communicating directly to the project partners in the project meetings. Educational activities - lectures to Klaipėda district primary school pupils in „Žiniukas school " sessions. Seminar for Klaipeda district teachers about assessment, self-assessment and monitoring of progress. 4. Reflection : Teachers, students, school administration and pupils‘ parents will take part in the evaluation of the project. Project activities will be evaluated according to different criteria: a survey and discussion after the mobility in the project working group, SWOT analysis and individual student progress monitoring. V. The project results and impact On the participants: - encourage a critical look at training methods; - deepen the knowledge about new methods of assessment and subject; - improve foreign language skills ; - improve the use of ICT skills; - acquire new knowledge and skills to work with the special needs students ; - adapt CLIL methodology in primary grades; - deepen the knowledge about other countries education systems. On the students and the colleagues: - innovation will motivate students; - encourage teachers to participate in international projects. On the school: -ensure effective implementation of the objectives of the strategic school plan. VI. Continuity of the project In the future, the school's strategic plan objectives will be correlated with the project priority areas. The project activities will encourage teachers not to be afraid of challenges.
