BACKGROUND:
Our school has qualified and expert staff, pupils belong to the most successful in the region in different competitions (Maths, Languages, Science, Sports, etc.).
AIMS:
Continuous education of teachers moves school forward. Therefore we have chosen teacher development courses abroad with specific focus and job shadowing which will help to modernise education, methods, eventually curriculum of our school, and this is the main aim of the project.
Teachers will gain new skills and competences in CLIL and will be abble to support creativity during lessons. By means of job shadowing (primary and lower secondary education) teachers will gain new knowledge, which can lead to changes in organisation of lessons. Teachers will gain independence and self-esteem, they will learn / improve their language competences, a new country will be closer to them, as well as people, lifestyle of other nationalities and cultures, they will understand social, language and cultural diversity, and they will gain motivation for further studies.
AMOUNT AND PROFIL OF PARTICIPANTS:
21 teachers will participate in listed courses and job shadowing, which is cca 60 per cent of teachers staff. All of them are perspective people, pedagogues of primary and lower secundary education, leaders, with full-time jobs. All of them have to have basic knowledge of English, they will be selected according to motivation, willingness to inform other employees and cooperation, etc. Listed criteria will be predetirmened and all the participants will be acquainted with them. It is expected that they will disseminate and develop their easily gained final competences, e.g. by getting certificates and then credits in further education in Slovakia.

Granada, Spain - job shadowing

OTHER ACTIVITES CONNECTED WITH MOBILITIES:
- cultural and pedagogic support,
- self study, information from receiving organisation, eventually giving information,
- evaluation of mobilities in every way (journey, insurance, accomodation, diet, courses, fullfiling of expectations, etc., responsible: all participants)
- dissemination (by means of school web site, local TV, local print, school meetings, leaflets, target groups: school pedagogues, expert public, school council and wider public; responsible: assistants, technician and mobility participants),
- feedback to partners (responsible: coordinator),
- eventual changes in turns (responsible: partners),
- eTwinning (responsible: coordinator of that partnership),
- creating CV Europass (participants will be equal to teachers of other countries; responsible: mobility participants),
- completing of questionnaire and its interpretation (responsible: technician and assistants)
PROJECT METHODOLOGY:
1. fair selection according to predetermined transparent criteria (responsible: coordinator and selection committee which will consist of teachers),
2. preparation of mobility agreements (responsible: director, according to actual legislation),
3. course on safety and healt security (responsible: director, according to actual legislation)
4. cultural and pedagogic preparation (self study, information from receiving organisation, eventually giving information; responsible: coordinator and mobility participants)
5. mobility preparation (ticket booking, insurance, accomodation, etc.; responsible coordinator and selection)
6. mobility, courses and job shadowing (responsible: participants and partners)
7. mobility evaluation in every way (journey, insurance, accomodation, diet, courses, fullfiling of expectations, etc., responsible: all participants)
8. dissemination (by means of school web site, local TV, local print, school meetings, leaflets, target groups: school pedagogues, expert public, school council and wider public; responsible: assistants, technician and mobility participants),

RESULTS, IMPACT AND CONTRIBUTION:
Target group (qualified and expert teachers) will gain new skills, competences, will become familiar with new methods, etc., which will lead to general modernisation of education in our school.
