The grant to develop the road infrastructure between Bácsalmás and the bordermade it possible to implement a multi-purpose infrastructural investment, whichcan significantly improve the condition of this road section, increase its capacityand enhance the accessibility of the Bácsalmás area. Due to the funding, the Bácsalmásborder crossing, which will be more accessible in future, have better infrastructure andkeep open day and night, will be able to take more passenger and freight traffic, andthus ease border traffic at the overcrowded Tompa and Hercegszántó border crossings.Direct objective: to repair and to widen Road no. 5312.
