The youth exchange "Modern Shepherds 3" will take place in Allariz, Ourense province (Spain), between the 5th and the 11th of November 2016, counting on the participation of 33 young people from 6 countries (Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Poland, Lithuania and Macedonia).The project's main mission is promoting the knowledge of nature and the rural environment amongst the participants, as well astheir main problems and challenges. A major objective of this project is to raise awareness among young people for the preservationand conservation of the natural heritage through guided tours and informal conversations with experts and local organizations, aswell as making the reality of the rural world and the business initiatives that can be undertaken on it known. This program ofactivities wants to encourage the development of skills and "green" behaviors among young people. Other objectives are thepromotion of healthy and sustainable behaviours in the participants, through outdoor activities (hiking, nature observation, workwith animals...) and sports (traditional games, team sports...), as well as social inclusion and active participation.All activities will be developed based on non-formal education.
